Portal Feeder Training Tip - How To Write Articles That Get Attention..Guaranteed!

So which articles get the most attention? At Portal Feeder, members are taught that while the title is paramount to getting the initial attention of a visitor the content is just as important because it needs to clarify what the title is promising and has to guide the visitor down to the resource box where links are.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the type of articles which get the most attention and what you should think about writing when sitting down in front of your computer. Each type has it’s own magical ability to get the reader’s attention.

Portal Feeder 3 Article Marketing Tips

#1 Top Ten Lists…People love top 10 or top 7 or top 15 lists. They love a list because it suggests they don’t have to scroll through a maze of bunched up copy to find what they’re looking for. In fact, by using “The Top 10″ hook, it seems to convey that the article will be an easy read and the solutions will be laid out for them one by one. Try it and see if it makes a difference to your article marketing.

#2 Myths And Secrets…Myths and secrets is popular because people love a secret. Don’t you? If a title starts with “The Secret To…” doesn’t that more often than not, just want to make you know what the secret is? It’s something this author often can’t resist taking a peek at.

#3 Easy Ways Or Reasons…People are always looking for a shortcut to their problems. Just take the internet marketing field. People just want to know the quickest way to becoming successful and are continually on the lookout for the shortest route possible. That’s why articles title with either “Easy” or “Reasons” get plenty of mileage.

#4 Tips…Tips articles are proven winners. But there is a trick to making them more effective and that means highlighting both the problem and solution in your title like this…”7 Ways To Guarantee A Lower Power Bill.”  All you have to make sure of is providing the information you’ve promised in the title.

#5 How To Articles…How to articles are not as high on the list as they once were but are still very effective. The fact that many now use how to articles may have taken the edge off their effectiveness a bit. Many inexperienced internet marketers miss the mark with them and you’ve got to remember, you’ll make an impact with how to articles by creating and solving the problem in the title.

#6 Reviews…Amazingly, reviews are still massively underutilized. Review articles are popular for the simple fact that you can get them ranking well when you attach the word review to a specific product or service. Your article can act as a conduit between the searcher and vendor and if you focus your reviews on more targeted products the more chance the searcher has of landing on your page.

#7 Interactive Articles…Interactive articles are very powerful and while you shouldn’t over use them, they are perfect for shock value. In other words, you are creating a problem and then offering a test to see if they have it. It’s funny how human nature behaves. Most times you wouldn’t give something a second thought but when you see a title like…”You May Be An Alien - Take Our Quick Alien Test To Find Out.” Alien test being the keyword. Can you see how powerful this can be?

#8 Truth Articles…Truth articles are great and in many ways, in a similar vein to review articles. People looking for some confirmation on a product or service and suddenly see them attached to a headline which says “The Truth About Samsungs 50 Inch Plasma” are going to want to take a look if that’s the brand they are searching for. And again, the more specific you can be with the use of the truth tag the better your results will be. In other words, use it on targeted products or services.

Portal Feeder 3.0 will be re-opening the doors shortly and if you want to be kept in the loop about when it re-opens and what you need to do then get on the Portal Feeder sign up and look out for more great tips like the ones above.

Portal Feeder - The Secret To Viral Article Marketing

Viral promotion is hard to beat as a method of getting your message, product or name out there. We’ve seen some amazing viral promotions in recent years and the one which sticks out clearly is Hotmail.

Writing an article and loading it with plenty of value to a reader is article marketing on steroids. One of the lessons which was extremely valuable during the formative years of Portal Feeder was the art of giving value. Give your reader something for nothing and you’ve got a fan. Give a reader something for nothing which they’ll either save to a folder on their computer or bookmark and you’ve got a potential voice promoting your services.

It doesn’t matter what subject it is, people go online looking for solutions and answers. However, because of the bad rap the online environment has copped over the years regarding some less than savory incidents, there is a touch of trepidation and hesitancy. When someone comes across an article they resonate with and find informative and useful, it’s justification on their part that the author is someone who can be respected and who knows what they’re talking about.

If that article is yours and you “strike a chord” with a reader don’t you think they are likely to share it with others. If they share it with five people and just two of those send it on to another five people each you’ve suddenly got 16 people, including the original reader, who have read your article in a short space of time.

The above scenario is just an example but it happens everyday on the web. The message here is give your article a little thought and make it as valuable as you can to whomever comes across it on the internet. It’s one of the golden rules of Portal Feeder training. Produce quality content because quality lasts!

Article Marketing For Profit The Portal Feeder 2.0 Way!

Article marketing is a great way to drive free traffic to your offer however, scanning the many articles online, there are some glaring mistakes people make which renders their article virtually useless.

One of the things to remember about making money online is people are looking for solutions in the main, and if your article doesn’t contain the information they’re looking for, then they’ll quickly hit the back button and look for one that does.

Portal Feeder 2.0 training emphasizes the need to build your online business based on a solid foundation and article marketing is one of the strategies taught within the membership.

The title, the resource box and the content need to be structured in such a way that the reader is compelled to want to click through to your offer. For example, the title should always include the keyword you are targetting. In fact, depending on the length of that keyword, you could include it twice to give the title more impact within the serps. Here’s an example:

“Network Marketing - How To Boost Your MLM Profits In 2008″

In the title above, network marketing is the keyword but I’ve also included MLM. There is no mistake what the article is about.

The content should get straight to the point without 200 words of fluff. Yoy need to keep the reader compelled to read the entire article because the bait at the end of it is the resource box and you ultimately want to guide them through the process of clicking on your link.

Solution type articles will include “how to” tips in a numbered or pointed fashion… “10 Ways To…”– “6 Tips For…”–”The 7 Deadly Sins Of…”

Avoid using a closing paragraph because this is where your resource box comes in. It should serve as the article closer and should include a benefit to the reader; enough to satisfy their curiosity to make them click through and see what you’re offering. Never ever use the resource box to pump up your own ego. Let your mom do that for you.

Article marketing is taught the correct way through the Portal Feeder 2.0 training. It’s such a powerful way to attract long time free traffic when done right.
